FAQs
-
Guided meditation is meditation led by a facilitator to help optimize getting the participant into a meditative state. It provides a structured framework for the meditation practice and helps individuals deepen their relaxation and concentration. Think of your facilitator as your “tour guide to go inside.”
-
There are a great number of benefits that meditation has proven through the years on both one’s psychical and psychological health, such as; reducing stress, improved focus & memory, improved heart health, better brain function & structure, enhanced creativity, better emotional regulation, and improved decision making abilities.
-
Just like any other skill, meditation takes practice to become comfortable with it. In a guided mediation, listening to the facilitator’s voice will help you stay focused. And just know, there is no such thing as a “bad” meditation.
-
A typical group session is 30 minutes, including a brief momentary meditation to settle in, a quick discussion of the topic we are focusing on that day, followed by the main meditation, with a few minutes to write and contemplate at the end if you so choose.
-
It is best to eliminate any distractions that we can when meditating, so you will want to silence all notifications and notify anyone around that may interrupt you. You will want a pen & paper if you feel compelled to write at the end, and any comfort items, such as an eye cover, pillow, or blanket are optional.
-
Typical group sessions are around 30 people, however smaller or larger groups can be accommodated as well.
-
Our sessions are conducted online via video conferencing platforms, or if space is permitted, in office sessions can be performed as well.
